Job Description:
Project Coordinating
- Recruit volunteers at recruitment events 3-4x per year
- Communicate with interested Norman/Moore volunteers over phone and email
- Hold one-on-one volunteer orientations with new volunteers
- Train and certify volunteers (application, confidentiality form, background check, and references completed)
- Maintain a volunteer database (up-to-date contact info, dates paperwork was completed, etc.)
- Coordinate volunteers to be at events through SignUp Genius, email, or phone call (foster parent training, orientation, and CPR; special events throughout the year; in foster parents’ homes, etc.)
- Work with Assistant Director on Social Media campaigns on Instagram/Facebook/Tiktok
- Help coordinate and potentially be present for after-hours volunteerism events/foster family events (i.e. foster parent night out. )
- Help as Norman point person for different yearly drives and events (i.e. back to school supply drive, Christmas presents drive/delivery, Angels Gala)
- Manage most of Angels Norman general community partnerships/relations
Donation Coordinating
- Work with interested volunteers to run their own donation drives
- Work with community members on donation drives; inform them of our needs; email flyers/logo
- Coordinate volunteers to clean out donation closet when needed
- Maintain donation closet (organize; keep up with list of items we need; request donations through individuals, social media, newsletter, etc.; run unneeded items to further donation location)
Office/Casework Assistant Duties
- Answer phones and the door, directing to appropriate people
- Welcome guests at the door and direct as needed, give tours to guests and explain Angels’ mission.
- Work with Project Coordinator of Edmond to coordinate Norman in-office parties and staff appreciation for Norman staff
- Help coordinate meals for Angels staff’s new moms and new foster parents
- Occasionally make placements bags for new placements
- Occasionally as needed: Scan in folders to ExtendedReach, Close out files, Create child and family files.
- Assist casework staff: calling annual update references, running annual update online record checks, mail out annual update packets, input information onto annual update background check.
- ExtendedReach data entry as needed.
- Coordinate mail incoming/outgoing.
- Manage the office-keep supplies current, coordinate cleaning/maintenance. Communicate major needs to Assistant Director.
- Assist pre-certification in any recruitment /retention needs that can be done in office and outside events as can be scheduled.
- Keep track of special dates-birthdays/anniversaries, etc. to communicate with foster families
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree required, degree in social work related field preferred

Job Description:
- Must complete home study training through OKDHS
- Complete home studies for perspective foster families
- Sign contracts with foster families
- Responsible for conducting all placements with foster families
- Being available by phone to foster families on your case load
- Minimum once a month visit to foster homes
- Responsible for creating court reports for juvenile cases and attending all court hearings
- Supporting foster families by being present for all additional meetings (i.e. FGC’s, team meetings)
- Maintain positive communication with DHS
- Completing yearly reassessments
- Assisting foster families with yearly training (12 hours of annual training)
- Keep family files, child files, and database up to date
Position Qualifications:
- B.A. in Social Work or related field required or Bachelors degree not in related field must have a minimum 3 years experience in similar job
- Masters of Social Work preferred
